What is MaxSaver?

MaxSaver is a hybrid life insurance plan, which comprises of the non-participating portion (MaxSaver Basic) and the investment element (MaxSaver Booster), that provides a financial safety net for your loved ones, while also giving you the option to grow your wealth by investing with premiums.

MaxSaver is ideal for individuals looking for an affordable life insurance plan that provides a means to grow their wealth through investment-linked funds with various options.

2. This is not a Shariah-compliant product. However, MCIS Life Jati Fund, MCIS Life Titan Fund and MCIS Life Global Yakin Fund invest in Shariah-approved securities.

Exclusions

The policy shall not cover death caused directly or indirectly, wholly or partially, by any one (1) of the following occurrences:

• The Life Assured dies from suicide within thirteen (13) months from the Policy Issue Date or date of reinstatement, whichever is later, whether the Life Assured is sane or insane;

• The Life Assured dies by duelling or self-inflicted injuries, whether sane or insane within thirteen (13) months from the Policy Issue Date or date of reinstatement, whichever is later;

 

The policy shall not cover any Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) caused directly or indirectly, wholly or partly, by any one (1) of the following occurrences:

• attempted self-destruction or self-inflicted injuries while sane or insane;

• military or naval service in time of declared or undeclared war or while under orders for warlike operation or restoration of public order;

What are the funds I can invest in

MaxSaver offers 8 attractive funds for you to invest in. MCIS Life Jati Fund, MCIS Life Titan Fund and MCIS Life Global Yakin Fund invest in Shariah-approved securities. However, MaxSaver is not a Shariah-compliant product.

Alternatively, you can perform ad-hoc top-ups into your Account Value which will be allocated at a 95% allocation rate. You can also partially or fully withdraw from your Account Value at any time.

How much protection will me and my loved ones get?

MaxSaver financially protects your loved ones in the event of your demise or Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) (before seventy (70) years old (age next birthday)), with a minimum Basic Sum Assured of RM10,000 and no limit on the maximum Basic Sum Assured, but it is subject to medical and financial underwriting.

MaxSaver provides a guaranteed, steady flow of income. This amounts to up to 6% of your sum assured every year. You have the option to withdraw or to reinvest 100% of your Guaranteed Cash Payments (GCP) into MaxSaver Booster.

Optional riders in life insurance are like add-ons to your basic life insurance policy that provides extra coverage for specific situations or needs.
For added peace of mind, you can also enhance your MaxSaver’s protection element by adding on any of the following riders:
 
Hospital Benefit Rider

Provides a daily benefit in the event of hospitalisation.

Revised Comprehensive Personal Accident Rider

Provides benefits in the event of injuries, disability or death caused solely and directly by violent, accidental, exernal and visible events.

Accident Benefit Rider

Provides coverage for Accidental Death inclusive of Riot and Civil Commotion (RCC) extension (RCC within Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei only).

MaxHealth Rider

Provides coverage for hospital and surgical expenses due to illness or accidental injury.

Term Rider

Provides coverage for Death or Total and Permanent Disability (TPD).

Living Benefit Rider

Provides coverage for Death or Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) as well as thirty-six (36) Critical Illness.

Premium Waiver Rider

Waives the future premiums for the MaxSaver policy (MaxSaver Basic and MaxSaver Booster) and Term Rider (if attached) upon diagnosis of any of the 36 Critical Illness of the Life Assured.

Payer Benefit Rider

Waives the future premiums for the MaxSaver policy (MaxSaver Basic and MaxSaver Booster), Term Rider (if attached) and Living Benefit Rider (if attached) upon death or Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) pripor to age 60 or upon being diagnosed with any of the 36 Critical Illness of the payer.
